The highlands had been amazing to us, what a truly beautiful part of the world. It was our time to move on, and make our way back down south. Driving south was not boring at all. Stopping several times to take amazing photos. Seriously every corner gives you a different amazing view.
We planned to make a stop at Loch Ness, and being the typical non tourist type, opted for the hike behind Loch Ness. Meall Fuar-mhonaidh is the most prominent summit around Loch Ness and provides a straightforward hill hike with great views of the loch. The 9km hike took us between 2-3 hours, smashed it. Driving on we made it to our campsite for the night at Station Caravan Park. Hopeman is a seaside village in Moray. Cooking up a hot meal after a great hot shower was the perfect way to finish our day.
