Our journey today brought us out of the cool highland region to the humid Indian Ocean coastal city of Dar es Salaam. Meaning ‘house of peace’ in Arabic. Dar as a city it not very inspiring with the exception of the port, ferry terminal and fish markets. We made our way to Kipepeo Camp by catching the local ‘extremely crowded’ ferry across the harbor to a short, but crazy tuk tuk ride in the rain to the peninsular beach. The next day was relaxing day on which we travelled to Zanzibar by high-speed ferry.
